Preston Apartments, Christchurch

Brief
We were tasked with designing an apartment block in the heart of the Christchurch CBD that would make outdoor space a prime feature for residents.

Outdoor living by design
Clean lines, modern simplicity and bold use of enduring materials and textures characterise these desirable apartments at 194 Worcester Street.

The five-storey building was designed with a mixture of one- and two-bedroom and duplex penthouse apartments.

All of the apartments have their own private outdoor space – either a balcony or garden opening out from the living area, as well as private external storage space.

The majority of the apartments are north facing and all have high levels of visual and acoustic privacy. With a convenient and central location, the complex is well-situated near a wealth of amenities and businesses.
