Approached to reimagine a recently-cleared residential site, Context devised a three-lot scheme with dwellings consisting of one five-bedroom and two four-bedroom homes. Outdoor living, solar orientation, and outlook were key considerations, while optimising every square metre, to deliver a highly liveable but efficient outcome.
Landscaping, with a combination of solid and permeable fences mediate sightlines and help organise planting along the pedestrian path. The material palette is restrained and contemporary, visually binding the development’s separate dwellings together.
The new development has delivered a set of contemporary, low-maintenance homes in one of Auckland’s most sought-after suburbs.
