We’re really pleased to announce that Senior Registered Architect Dan Branda and Senior Architectural Technician Leighton Watene have recently joined the Context team.
Dan is a passionate and creative architect with over 12 years’ experience in architectural design, urban design, and project management, having work in New Zealand and across Europe. At his previous practice, Dan provided design and project management leadership for a wide range of complex projects including, multi-million standalone homes, large residential developments, apartments and commercial spaces.
A Homestar practitioner, Dan is particularly interested in sustainability, efficient design, and project feasibility, integrating urban design and sustainable principles into projects. A seasoned project lead with strong business acumen, Dan possesses strong technical expertise, with a proven track record of running projects end-to-end.
Leighton is a highly skilled and experienced leader who enjoys directing projects from initial client briefing through to delivery of the design outcome. Viewing each project as a new learning experience, he is adept at sharing his knowledge, helping junior team members to develop their skills.
Leighton has worked on a diverse range of projects, including aged-care, residential, commercial, retail, aviation, and education. His aim is to consistently deliver excellent results and stunning designs for his clients, which is why they like to work with him time and again.
