The masterplan and design for this iconic downtown Christchurch site overlooking the Bridge of Remembrance demanded an outside-the-box concept worthy of the spot’s history and prestige.
To meet the challenge, we created a truly striking architectural composition, hinging on a jewel-box atrium at the heart of the development that hovers inside the building sphere, doubling as a striking landmark during the day and a glowing beacon in the evenings.
The open, airy scheme facilitates connections through and around a central square, as well as pedestrian flows via avenues conveniently adjacent to surrounding streets and the river-park precinct.
