Aged care and retirement living are getting a modern facelift with our client’s new integrated village in the heart of Taupō. Part of a 26-hectare mixed-use development for which we designed the masterplan, the village offers a range of accommodation from independent villas and apartments to fully serviced care homes. By expanding their retirement offerings, our Taupō client can cater to a wider range of resident needs, from new retirees to those requiring dementia care.

The village incorporates new concepts in aged care, providing vibrant shared spaces like lounges, activity rooms, and an on-site wellness centre to foster connection and community. As part of a larger development that includes over 1,000 new homes, a commercial core, a medical centre, and childcare facilities, the Taupō retirement village embodies the idea that integrating aged care into a vibrant community benefits both residents and the surrounding area, giving seniors a renewed sense of life and purpose.
