Context is Everything

Renowned for its award-winning chardonnay, syrah, and pinot gris, Matakana Estate features a popular tasting room and wine cellar. We’ve expanded these areas and added new hospitality spaces to host larger parties, weddings, private tastings, and other functions, showcasing the winery’s impressive offerings and reputation.

This project converted part of the busy winery production facility into a cellar door with the aim to infuse refined detailing with the existing rustic and industrial character of the building.  The space caters for varied activities including wine tasting, food sales and small events.
