Context is Everything

Located in the central business district, the heritage-listed, two level building is typical of the “stripped classical” style popular amongst government buildings of its time. Sited on a prominent corner but lying dormant for many years, Westpac’s leasing of both levels in the north corner was the catalyst for rehabilitating the much-loved property.

Extending the more informal, side-by-side banking experience, the modern interior is sympathetically integrated using elements including Context’s prefabricated meeting room design requiring no attachment to existing structure.

Home to Westpac’s banking specialists across consumer, business and agri- banking, the new site is intended as a hub for both the local community and the businesses that serve it.
