Context is Everything

Located in central Cambridge, Westpac’s new retail branch occupies a generous space in a new development beside Lake Te Ko Utu.

Cambridge is one of several branches fitted out in the earthy scheme Context devised for Westpac as part of a move away from the highly barriered environments and towards a more informal, side-by-side banking experience for customers.

A bright ATM lobby opens into a large banking chamber where customers are met by banking specialists in a relaxed environment equipped with armchairs and a bar providing digital access.

Context’s prefabricated meeting room design is updated with new finishes to compliment the aesthetic, with tinted glass and timber wall facings. Planting arranged around, and on top of the meeting rooms adds a further touch of softness to the scheme.
