As part of a long-standing relationship with Warner Bros. home renovation reality show ‘The Block’, Context undertook the complex remediation and interior fitout of this 1920s Kingsland fire station.
Before any value adding initiatives could be taken, the existing structure required an upgrade to make it compliant for residential living. Working closely with structural and geotechnical engineers, Context devised cost-effective design solutions for both fire and earthquake compliance, to bring the building up to standard.
Once sound, upgrades to the historic façade along with a penthouse apartment addition, added significant value to the building providing the owners with a unique and sought-after property.
